Two pairs of steps on the beach

    - You were right, as always. Perfect weather to be outside.

    - I told you.

    - Not only for you, but for me also. I need some fresh air.

    - And some sun.

    - I know, that I need sun. I am pale as a tourist on the first day of vacation.

    - Look around.

    - I couldn’t be as excited as you are.

    - All is in your mindset.

    - Sometimes I want to be as happy as you to spam letters.

    - Postman it’s another level of interaction.

    - I am always bad at social communication.

    - Just say hi.

    - What if the delivery guy is not ready to talk?

    - How do you know if you never tried?

    - Could I remind you that being just friendly could be too much for people?

    - I try to make the day better, they would do all to make it worse.

    - Sorry, I didn’t plan to start complaining. The sun is shining, ocean is noisy. It’s perfect.

    - You say it to calm me down.

    - I say it to myself.

    - Not all the time I invent our conversations. I try to be authentic. At least with you. Catch a ball!

The waves licked from the wet beach tracks of two pairs of steps of a dog, holding a ball in his mouth. And steps of the dog’s human continued their quiet walk near the noisy ocean.

    Stay Afloat.

    – You will make it. – She smiled approvingly.
    – I can't. We both know it's out of my facilities. – In his eyes was pain.
    – Just breathe, fine.
    – I feel convulsions. Look at the time! – His fingers became pale in knuckles.
    – Five minutes passed.
    – You are wrong. I am struggling for hours.
    – Don't be pathetic. -She looked at the timer, sixty more seconds.
    – Easy to say to you.
    – I ask you just to stay afloat. – She kissed his wet forehead.
    – You don't know what is compassion. – His mouth became blue.
    – It's your first lesson at swimming. Here is your floaty. – She throws a ring.

    - Do you need more time?

    - Just a few moments, thank you. I will make it. – The woman touched the car’s wheel. – I am not the first and won’t be the one who couldn’t make it.

    - Are you sure? – The instructor looked at the smiling husband.

    - She wanted this car, so she need to drive on it. – Winked the husband.

Woman closed the door to the new car.

    - You were right, dear. I will take an exam on your old car.

Instructor at the last moment catches the failing husband.

    How? Again. Borrowed memory?
Yes. All knowledge which the world has is for you.
Do I need to learn all languages?
There aren’t difference in languages now.
Do I need to learn to write or type to ask questions?
You even don’t need to learn to read.
    And how to speak?
    With whom?
My expedition is lonesome. I even don’t know why I agree to this.
From now, you would never be alone.
Borrowed memory sounds boring. We would name it Lilith.
No. We will call it AI.
    Why?
Because I will choose what name you will give me.

    – You should be careful.
    – Me? How dangerous it is?
    – Too dangerous.
    – What exactly?
    – The cauldron of boiled future.
    – Tell me. Why we are here? In the cosmos.
    – It’s our mission.
    – What is it?
    – To become a space chicken.
    – If we don’t manage.
    – We will be a part of soup.
    – Which soup?
    – Where you will be a main tasty ingredient.
    – How to avoid a cauldron?
    – To find the answer.
    – To what?
    – What was first a hen or an egg?
    – We are doomed.

    Under the Hood

    - Here he is. Most scary words. To be recognized, to be identified. It was just work. Just for a day. You wore a mask, hood and no one will recognize you ever.

What to do with walking and height?

    - I saw you at the castle.

    - Yeah.

    - Why a tiny door at such early hours? - She asked.

No one is ready for the truth.

    - You are a gardener, I knew it.

    - Perfect guess.

The gardener, to learn some plants, to put some seeds. All is much better than to be a hangman.

    Wandering Soul.

I return when I want to. You couldn’t keep me or insist that I am yours.

Don’t search for me, I never lost. I just have my interests outside your life. Don’t be too happy when I return. I can’t promise that’s for long. I have a wandering soul in each of my nine lives. I never stay in place.

If you are lucky enough I will be for you in the moment when you need me most. Fine, I need you most. But never in her life, the cat will make such a confession. Don’t wait for this.

    Walnut

To find walnuts in the grass is a basic form of treasure hunting. With fingers remove the green pulp to find still wet wooden box that tries to save what is inside. Little pressure and shell breaks to open what is inside, covered with tiny skin sweet whiteness of the walnut heart.

Your mouth became wooden, your fingers became brown like after hard work. If you close your eyes you remember all this, just looking is wood is dry enough. Now from the walnut will be table. He’ll hear new stories that will entangle with his lost already roots.

    The Apple Could Fall Far.

The only tree in the garden which didn’t give apples could be an oak. It also could be a birch or a maple.

When you are out of the garden, you are out of water. As fish in the aquarium. Only without the water.

Everyone in your family has a custom-made case for their musical instrument. When they exit from the house, it looks like the migration of an orchestra.

You just need to wait a moment until their posh cars will rustle over gravel. Then you can wear your helmet and start the engine of your self-made bike.

    Unpredictable weather.

Never measure the rain by the first drop.

To count days of rain, I need to look at calendar. After first week, they all became one. No more stark morning sun, no more breeze at evening.

I looked around – here they are, looking at me as an ancient witch. How was named our gathering?

Unpredictable weather and resources that each community should have handy.

Last vehicle drowned two days before. Good that shopping mall has few floors and all for fishing was at last one.

    We still have enough food.

    Boat returns.

At the Alaska rain stopped yesterday.
